The Kaibo Zonshinzu Anatomy Scrolls

The Kaibo Zonshinzu anatomy scrolls was an artwork painted by Kyoto-area physician Yasukazu Minagaki (1784-1825) in 1819.

Unlike modern anatomical figures which are painless and emotionless, these paintings were realistic showing that the dissected ones are in pain and bleeding.
