Immune Attack

The Federation of American Scientists (FAS) released an immunology game named Immune Attack™.  This game allowed students to learn the basic concept of human immunology.

I am downloading the game.  The file size is 506.6 MB (and bye-bye to my hundreds of youtube videos).  In this game, you will control a nanobot and drone.  Following are the controls:

There are seven stages in this game, which are:

  1. Monocyte to Macrophage (Transmigration)
  2. Following the Chemical Trail (of C3a)
  3. Recognize the Enemy (Activate LPS Receptors)
  4. Eat the Pseudomonas!
  5. Call the Neutrophil to the Site of Infection (Activate CXCL8)
  6. Transfer Abilities to Neutrophils
  7. Eat the Staphyloccocus.

From the overview of the games, there are neither natural killer cells nor adaptive immune system lymphocytes.  If you’re immunologist students and you are bored of studying for the finals, you can play this game to refresh your innate immune system memory.

I shall play and review it tonight despite I have a practical exam this Wednesday.
