Modern Science Will Save Us All or Kill Us All

I’ve been hearing this “save the world” phrase.  This world is not like those superhero movies.  There is no dude who create monster with tentacles to destroy only US or Japan.  Save the world from what?

Perhaps…  Modern science kills us first and save the world!  Without despair there won’t be hope.
