Andreas Vesalius (1514 - 1564) was a Belgian anatomist and physician.  He is also often referred to as the founder of modern human anatomy.  The images above which I found it from this webpage are his drawings, which I believed they are from his book, De humani corporis fabrica (On the Workings of the Human Body).

      Those are beautiful. I just bought a book for A &P prep called Nettlers Atlas of the human body the illustrations are gorgeous.
