This is my last semester in Monash, and the timetable for this semester is pretty relax.  Here are the major due dates throughout this semester.

It’s quite a long list.  However with proper time management, I can finish most of the things a week before the due date.  For instance, GEN3040 problem exercise is due in week 6, and there are five questions to solve (I do hate typo and poor english in lab manual).  What I plan is solving one question per week, and I’ve already done question one today.  I guess I can finish question 2 tomorrow (hopefully!).

I’ve chosen my GEN3040 topic as well, it’s “The role of chromatin structure in regulating gene expression in eukaryotes”.  It’s the easiest topic out of all (this semester I would prefer to spend more time to study, so I choose easy essay topic).  The due date is actually a week after 26/8.  However there is extra mark for early-bird submission and I figure out I can finish it before the early-bird submission date.  I will set the due date for that essay as 26/8 to keep me doing works.  I start searching for relevant articles today.  According to my plan, I’ll try to search for resources today, and next Thursday I can outline my essay.  The Thursday after next, I can start writing it out and estimate It can be finished in a week time.  If you know any papers (I prefer primary sources and published within 5 years), please do leave a comment telling me!

SCI3094 has something due almost every week.  What I’ve planned is doing the assignments on every Tuesday.  I’ve a major clash for SCI3094 workshop and IMM3062 lab, and both of them are at very distant place (it takes at least 40 minutes to travel from one to another).  The good news is that all the lecture materials have been uploaded for download.

IMM3062 reports I’ll do it on Sunday (the week after the experiment is done) and I estimate I will take at most two days to finish the report.  There’s a clash with SCI3094 and IMM3062 lab.  Hopefully I won’t miss any important points or datas that I need to include in my reports as I need to leave early to attend the workshop (hopefully my group mates won’t be lazy holding the results and not giving me until the last minute).

IMM3042 is the one I’m worried about.  I’m bad at MCQ and it worth 15% in total.  The 1500 words essay worth only 10% and the final exam is 60%.  I’m not the exam-type dude.
