World Oldest Seed Germinates

A 2000 years old seed was germinated. Scientists carbon dated an ancient seed found in the 1960s in the Masada fortress was approximately 2000 years old. This oldest seed was believed to be preserved by hot and dry conditions. Researchers hope the plant will give them genetic clue that can make modern plants more successful or resilient.
